Online Reputation Management (ORM)
Everyone has a reputation. “Google Yourself” right now to find out yours! Whether you are an individual or a business entity, online reputation is garnering your attention in 2011 and beyond. As more businesses go online, provide options for customers to shop online, your reputation can and will be used for or against you.
In our experience, more and more businesses and celebrities are becoming aware of what people discover when their names are searched on Google. Everyday brands come under attack due to a bad move or for not listening to the feedback from their customers.
The crowd is always louder than your solitary voice. So, it is important to co-exist with your community, showing them love and nurturing them so that when you do screw up at some point, the community will be understanding than angry. P&G might have appreciated this advice.
In India, we are seeing the rise of Social Media and as millions of our people go online, their voices will shape the public perception of a brand and more and more companies realize this and are proactively trying to win over the community with their online media channels like Twitter.
Most people prefer ranting out on the web if they do not get satisfaction from your support. This will apply well for the service industry such as banking, telecom, online shopping and others. It is important to listen actively to all digital outlets where your brand might be mentioned and resolve all customer dissatisfaction before it turns into a crowd-sourced reputation disaster.
We look forward to help your brand with our new online reputation management strategies in 2011. Do get in touch with us if your brand needs some help on the web.
