Job Description: Ayruz Data Marketing is seeking a Data Driven Digital Marketing Strategy Intern for our Marketing Data, Research & Analytics team to participate in a three-month project to drive significant improvements to marketing efforts of high-profile retail, e-commerce clients. The project will play a significant role in the company’s overall data stewardship efforts, and the person will work with our in-house team to handle data analysis, advice, optimise existing marketing campaigns and deliver strategic services to our retail client base. This involves studying buying patterns of customers, understanding various touch points in the customer buying cycle, various external and internal trends that may affect overall sales of retail clients, understand how website is used and how they would be optimised for better user experience and increase overall sales. The job primarily focussed around digital channels; however, the candidate should be well versed to work with creative agencies.

The ideal candidate we are looking at will be passionate about technology disruptions, ever-looking to stay updated with the trends of the industry, will have basic understanding on digital platforms and apply them on various marketing and advertising campaigns. On the move, the person will learn, truly understand and care about how data is being extracted, analysed and how it impacts the businesses and marketing decisions. The candidates should have basic consulting skills and have the business acumen to find and apply various optimisation techniques of clients marketing mix. He / She should have the skill to present findings to the top management with simplicity and easy to understand presentations and reports.

Our person will work to identify patterns and trends within datasets, which are crucial for our retail clients to impact major business decisions in the world of online marketing and advertising to scalable results. On the internship, the you will back/ power the advisory team with your unique ability to combine your technical, quantitative and analytical skills to actionable recommendations.

Going forward on completion of the internship, you will work with few clients in the US and the UK directly, with responsibilities ranging from consulting, recommendation, marketing optimisation and client servicing.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  1. Fresh MBA graduate (Technology Savvy) or Engineering graduate / other business graduate with strong Mathematical background

  2. Understanding of statistical tools and mathematical frameworks and tools such as regression analysis, correlation and hypothesis testing

  3. Strong understanding about digital channels and technologies

  4. Should have the imagination to think from customer point of view

  5. MS Office (Excel, PPT and Word)

  6. Consulting and presentation skills

  7. Willingness to research and learn every day

  8. Understanding of digital marketing tactics such as SEO, PPC, Social Media etc.

And nice to have:

  1. Knowledge data analysis and visualisation tools such as R, Google Visualisation and other tools

  2. Machine learning systems, open source machine learning system

  3. Understanding of Conversion Optimisation and Usability

  4. Understanding of e-commerce optimisation

  5. Data analysis and visualisation

  6. Trend analysis, CPI index, pricing techniques
